OUR PATIENTS SAY IT BEST
"From the moment I walked into the Quatela Center for my first surgery consult, I knew I made the right decision to get my septorhinoplasty there. From the beautiful, immaculate building to the kindest, most organized staff (including my amazing surgeon Dr. Lee), there was not a doubt in my mind the Quatela Center was the best choice for me. There were no surprises during my healing process either because everyone is so informative. Dr. Lee was so amazing to work with and truly cares about her work. She always greets me with a warm smile and is genuinely excited to see the progress not only of my healing rhinoplasty, but the function of my breathing as well. I would choose Dr. Lee over and over again, and recommend her to anyone!"

What type of anesthetic is used for rhinoplasty?

Are there any scars after rhinoplasty?
What happens after I request a consultation?
Cosmetic and functional nose surgery involves using a general anesthetic. Rhinoplasty is typically an outpatient procedure—meaning you return home on the same day—but you also have the option of staying overnight at the Carriage House on the grounds of the Lindsay House.
Our surgeons recommend taking at least one week off from work or school. Most swelling and bruising resolve after a few weeks, but it can take 6 months to a year before all residual swelling resolves.
Patients typically experience minimal discomfort, other than a feeling of stuffiness, during the initial recovery. Our surgeons prescribe pain relief medication, but patients often find that over-the-counter pain meds are enough to feel comfortable.
A nose job can be performed using either a closed or open technique. In closed rhinoplasty, all incisions are made inside the nose, so there is no visible scarring. An open rhinoplasty procedure involves making a small incision on the thin strip of skin separating the nostrils. The scar is virtually imperceptible after it fades.
